minutes by float plane from downtown Vancouver or Vancouver Airport Dragon's Lodge driving directions When you disembark from the Gabriola ferry, drive straight ahead up the hill. Take the second left turn onto North Road. Follow North Road through the village to Dragon's Lane (approx 10km). Turn left on Dragon's Lane, the Lodge is through the gates at the end of the lane. BC Ferries run services to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island from Tsawwassen (2 hours) and Horseshoe Bay (1 hour 35 minutes).
Once in Nanaimo, drive or take a taxi or the Nanaimo Shuttle to the Gabriola ferry, which runs approximately once an hour, 7 days a week, from 6 am to 11 pm. Sailing time to Gabriola is 20 minutes.
